F.2 Virtual Options Evening (F.1 and F.2)
The Form 2 Options Evening was conducted on Thursday 7th April, 2022. This year the event was conducted via Zoom and 162 parents and students attended from the comfort of their own homes.
The Principal, Ms. Diana Lo, and the Deputy Principal, Mr. Andrew Higgins, spoke about the importance of making informed subject choices and explained the unique curriculum structure in Forms 3 and 4. Following the main presentation, subject teachers talked more about the various electives offered by the YHKCC at Form 3 level. The elective subject sharing and Q&A sessions were conducted in four time slots, and parents and students chose to attend the sessions they were interested in. Teachers also covered the skills developed during the course and how the subject prepares students for tertiary study and future career paths. The Careers and Higher Education Team also hosted a Zoom session to answer students’ and parents’ questions regarding their future study and career options.
Parents and students found the Form 2 Options Evening useful as it was a good opportunity for them to interact with teachers to find out more about the potential pathways for their children in the school and beyond.
