ABOUT US
WELCOME MESSAGE
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College.
The YHKCC is a direct subsidy secondary school with English as a medium instruction. We are located in Tung Chung on a beautiful campus with great facilities, and offer an international style education based on Christian values.
Our students come from over 40 countries and most are able to speak at least 3 languages. On our campus, you will find smiling and happy faces both inside and outside the classroom. We pride ourselves in our diverse student body, who are talented in sports, music, visual and performing arts, and showcase their talents confidently and with pride. |

Currently the school has 36 classes in 6 year groups, with an average class size of 25 students. The YHKCC offers both the Hong Kong Curriculum (HKDSE) and an International Curriculum (IGCSE / GCE A-levels). Both curricula are internationally recognized and the majority of our students pursue higher education after they graduate. We use student-centered teaching approaches with an emphasis on whole-person growth, and believe that academics, extra-curricular activities, life skills and values are all important parts of a young person’s growth and education. I hope you will come to the school and meet our team of committed and hard working teaching staff. They not only look after our students’ academic learning, but also care for them pastorally and provide other types of learning experiences.
I believe that each child is wonderfully made by God, and that each has his or her own talents. We strive to provide different platforms for our students to grow and shine. Whether it is an on-campus programme, an exchange programme, overseas tour or a service opportunity, we are always looking for ways to allow each student to further develop their talents. As a Christian school, we also emphasize “values education” based on the Christian faith. I believe that a young person’s values shape who they become, so instilling the YHKCC’s five core values in our students is vitally important in preparation for the future. In addition to striving for academic excellence, we also wish our graduates to be citizens who live out our five core values: act with integrity, being responsible, serve one another in love, respect ourselves and others, and build a community that cares.
On behalf of our wonderful team at the YHKCC, I look forward to meeting you!
