New Students’ Orientation Day
The New Students' Orientation Day was held on Saturday 27th August. More than 300 new students and parents joined the event, which provided an opportunity for parents to understand more about different areas of the YHKCC, including the school's vision and mission, academic expectations, general matters, student guidance and discipline, extra-curricular activities and so on.
The new Form 1 students met their new class teachers and Heads of Year, and then took a benchmark test, which will help the school to understand more about their academic potential. Parents also attended a workshop to learn how to access the school's virtual learning environment (VLE), mYnet and the campus app. The workshop facilitated better communication between the school and parents. All of the presentation files have been uploaded to the VLE.
The feedback the school received from parents and students about this event was very positive. We look forward to working with all new parents in the future to help children develop their talents and gifts, and excel in their academic studies.
