Blindfold Cable Car Experience Presentation Ceremony
On 23rd September, 7 YHKCC students participated in the first Hong Kong “Blindfold Cable Car Experience” held by Ngong Ping 360 in Tung Chung. “Blindfold Cable Car Experience” was a Community Service Project which involved 70 student volunteers from 7 secondary schools on Lantau Island. The objective of the event was to raise funds for Orbis in support of global sight-saving work.
On 15th September , our students were thrilled to have had an audio training session conducted by Ms. Chea Shuk Mui, an experienced media practitioner in HKFEW Wong Cho Bau Secondary School to learn how to properly pronounce Cantonese before the event.
On 23rd September, the 7 YHKCC students became the audio guides forthe blindfold participants during the Ngong Ping 360 cable car journey. The event was very successful with more than 800 participants attended and it was a memorable and meaningful experience for our students
Moreover, one of our students, Angel Yeung Sum Yu, was selected to be the Best Audio Guide and she was awarded to participate in an Orbis’s overseas trip. Angel was also invited to a broadcast interview to share her valuable experience. Please click the below to listen to the programme:
