Choir Performances in December
The Choir had an intensive month singing Christmas carols in three different occasions. Firstly, on 16th December, we participated in the Carol Singing Festival 2017 with an aim to raise fund for the HKSAR Child Development Matching Fund, which supports underprivileged youths. We would like to express our gratitude to Ms. Beatrice Mok, the founder of Community Partner Foundation, who generously sponsored our Choir for charity. The performance was held at the Ngong Ping 360 market, and attracted tourists and local audience with their bilingual Christmas numbers, such as Joy to the World.
In the evening, we joined Tung Chung schools and churches caroling 3 years in a row, aiming to spread the gospel around Yat Tung Estate. We had a joint performance with schools such as Ling Liang Church Sau Tak Primary School and Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary School. Besides singing a few traditional Christmas songs such as O Come, All Ye Faithful, the choir members also helped to distribute gospel leaflets to the residents in Tung Chung. It was a meaningful experience to reach out to the community through music.
On Christmas Eve, we were honoured to be invited to perform at the Regal Airport Hotel for the third year. A mixture of traditional and light-hearted Christmas numbers were performed such as Silent Night and Twelve Days of Christmas. We would like to thank the parents who came to support our performances in all the above events.
