Performance by the Choir of St. John's College, Cambridge
On 28th March, we were honoured to have had the world renowned Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge visit us at our school. The Choir consists of young Choristers from St John’s College School and senior Choral Scholars from St John’s College. It was also a privilege to have had the Music Director, Mr Andrew Nethsingha, and the College Master, Professor Christopher Dobson, to share their experiences with our fellow student musicians.
The Choir performed several sacred and popular numbers with their beautiful and extraordinary voices. Their angelic singing had truly redefined our concept of choral singing in its highest form. The audience, including the Music Society members, Form One and Two students and teachers were deeply moved by the performance and expressed immense admiration for the Choir.
Another valuable aspect of the event was the Q & A session led by the Music Society representatives, in which the St. John’s Choir members demonstrated and introduced to us their secret singing techniques.
We would like to express our highest appreciation to the Choir and look forward to enjoying more of their concerts in the future.
