Visited by Jintang County Gangqing School, Sichuan, China
A group of 8 students and 5 teachers from our sister school, Jintang County Gangqing School, Sichuan, China (Jintang School) visited us from 7th to 11thMay for an academic and school life experience exchange. Jintang School, Chengdu, is one of the schools sponsored by the YMCA of Hong Kong. It is the second year of us having students and teachers over at our YHKCC’s campus to experience school life in Hong Kong.
Upon arrival on 7th March, our Principal, Mr. Dion Chen and Assistant Principal, Ms. Kit Ng gave a warm welcome to our visitors. YHKCC students paired up with the Jintang students to experience the YHKCC’s school life including student-oriented lessons and the exciting extra-curricular activities from 6th to 8th May.
In the morning on 10th March, Jintang students visited the San Wui Commercial Society YMCA of Hong Kong Christian School (SWYHKCS) in Sham Shui Po. They were engaged in interactive and fun activities with our primary school students. In the afternoon, they went to the YMCA community service center in Cheung Sha Wan to deliver local community service, including serving children from the underprivileged families. On 11th, a group of F.4 YHKCC students who are studying Tourism and Hospitality Studies, took the Jintang students out to sightsee the heritage route in Tsim Sha Tsui and Central. They tasted different kinds of local food and enjoyed the bus and ferry rides.
The Jiantang students were fully indulged in our interactive learning programmes and great cultural diversity. They all had a great time with fruitful learning experiences in our international learning environment.
We all look forward to the next exchange.
