Visit by Tibetan Autonomous Region's Youth Federation, China
On 25th May, 32 Tibetan high schools’ and universities’ students visited YHKCC. The Tibetan students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Diana Lo, the Deputy Principal, Ms. Kit Ng, the Assistant Principal and our F.5 DSE students upon arrival. In the introduction session, the representatives from both groups exchanged souvenirs .The Tibetan representatives then introduced us their culture and some signature spots in Tibet.
A fabulous traditional Tibetan song and dance were followed. In return, Kevin Diego in F.5 and Rachel Tao in F.6 dedicated a wonderful Canadian pop song ‘Officially Missing You’ to the Tibetan students. All students enjoyed it very much. The Tibetan students then led our students to join a traditional dance ‘Guo-Zhuang’ which is commonly seen in Tibet. They formed a circle and held hand in hand to follow a leader’s steps as per the rhythm. Our students had great fun with them and the hall was filled with laughter and joy.
Lastly, the event was concluded with a school tour. Our student ambassadors showed the Tibetan students around the school. They were all impressed by the international learning environment in YHKCC. We are looking forwards to building up a closer bonding with them in the upcoming future.
