JCI World Cleanup Day
The World Cleanup Day, organized by Junior Chamber International Hong Kong (JCI) and Heung Yee Kuk, co-organised by our school together with Scout Association and Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) was held on 15thSeptember. The opening ceremony was held in our school in the morning and the objective of the campaign is to raise awareness of environmental protection by eliminating disposable plastic, straws, utensils and containers to create a clean and healthy place to live in. A territory-wide beach clean-up is under way amid growing concern over the threat from litter to marine life.
27 Community Service Club members joined another meaningful event in the school hall on the same day by using recycled materials to fill the recycled logo outlined in the school hall to deliver the message of recycling to prevent the waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy consumed in conventional waste disposal to achieve the lowering of Greenhouse gases.
Our school is dedicated to support community service and promote green campaigns to sustain a good living and learning environment.
