Liberal Studies Week – 25th to 29th March
The annual Liberal Studies Week was held during the last week of March. The Department of Liberal Studies had organised different activities during the week to raise the learning interest of students towards the subject through a whole-school approach.
The activities included a Form 3 presentation on glocalisation, in which students created a new McDonald’s food item. The subject teacher selected the best three groups in the form to conduct a presentation to all students during lunch period, while the audiences could vote for the best presentation.
Also, the second activity was a carton DIY workshop and students made use of the assigned lemon tea carton and turned it into a wallet. In addition, a cultural heritage conservation talk was conducted by Dr. Charlton Cheung from Sai Wan Concern for our F.4 DSE students. Students gained a better knowledge about preserving historical buildings in Hong Kong. Through the Liberal Studies week, students were able to have a better understanding of the different modules and applied their knowledge to their daily lives.
