Foshan Immersion Programme
Over the Easter holiday from 19th to 22nd April, Ms. Anna Wong and Mr. Ken Wong together with 19 students went to Foshan, Guangzhou, China for an immersion trip. The students spent 4 action-packed days in the city and were involved in many incredibly different activities.
The group arrived at Guangzhou by the newly built high speed train between Hon Kong and China. Then they spent the whole afternoon in our sister school “Shimen Experimental School”. Each of our student shadowed one local student to have a taste of local student’s daily life. It was interesting and meaningful. The next day, the buddies’ families welcomed our students and spent a day with them. Some of them went sightseeing, some did local cuisine cooking, some did sports, etc. The visit gave students an insight of the local culture and provided chances to talk to the locals, getting a better understanding of the country.
The next two days were cultural visits. The group was led by professional tour guide and visited the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln, Zu Temple, Yip Man Museum, Wong Fei-hung Museum, Lingnan Xintiandi and Chuanloo Zoo. These cultural visits brought lots of eye-opening experience for the students.
It was an excellent, informative trip that gave students lots of inspiration in learning.
