Service Outreach Week 2019
All F.3 and 4 students took part in a week-long local or outbound Service Outreach Week (SOW) organized by the Service Education Committee from 24thto 28th June. The outbound destinations included Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, China and The Philippines.
Both local and outbound service trips enabled students to gain first-hand experience of serving and equipped them with better awareness of social issues in the community and the rest of the world. The trips also allowed students to further reinforce the application of the school 5 core values "Building a community that cares", "Serving one another in love", "Being responsible" and "Respect ourselves and others". Moreover, through participating in the trips, skills and attributes such as organization, cooperation, communication and collaboration were cultivated.
On 2nd July, all services teams shared their experiences, feelings and what they learnt in the Service Showcase. All students expressed gratitude for being given the opportunity to participate in the service trips. They thoroughly enjoyed the week and realised the importance of serving one another in love.
