First Day of School
The YHKCC extended the warmest welcome to all its students, in particular our new F.1 members on the first day of school! Students all wore their uniforms with pride and smiling faces, coming back to school after the refreshing summer holiday. Our Principal, Mr. Dion Chen was delighted to see cheerful, familiar faces at the entrance gate in the early morning and shared with students some interesting episodes experienced during the holiday. Students were all fueled with energy and excited to see one another, sharing their latest updates too. Big hugs and laughter filled our campus with harmony.
The first assembly was held in the school hall beginning with a worship band performance. Mr. Eric Scott, a Pastor from The Bridge Church shared with us the devotion whereas Mr. Dion Chen encouraged students to stand firm on the 5 core values and to show great determination to overcome challenges in the year ahead. He stressed the importance of upholding our scripture of the year “Let all that you do be done with love” (1 Corinthians 16:14) and reiterated the importance of our rights and responsibilities to serve one another in love. Last but not least, he as well motivated students to make sustainable improvement and strive for excellence in all aspects of their school lives.
We wish all students a fantastic and fruitful new school year ahead!
Let’s express our warmest welcome to the new teachers and students again.
