Islands District Youth Festival 2021 Closing Ceremony
The Islands District Youth Festival 2021 was successfully concluded on 27th February at our school Hall. The festival was co-hosted by the Islands District Council, JPC Lantau, Fight Crime Committee and co-organised by HKSKH Tung Chung Integrated Services, The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC), OIWA, Tung Chung Safe and Healthy City, YWCA and our school. The objective of the festival is to provide a platform for the youth in the community for discovering and sharing their talents and potential. Four activities were held in celebration of the festival namely, Music Contest, Dancing performance, eSports Competition and Covid-19 At-home Challenge.
The Closing Ceremony was kicked off by a fantastic marching band performance and an impressive Locking dance by our Alumni, Jose and his partner Kayi. Followed by the welcome remarks by Mr Yu Hon-kwan, Randy, MH, JP, Chairman of District Council and Fight Crime Committee (Islands District), prizes and certificates were presented to all the winners and supporting organisations as a token of recognition and appreciation. The climax of the ceremony came when videos and winners from different categories were performed on stage. We had “At-Home Challenge” together with the guests, singing, dancing as well as sharing. Rounds of applause filled the hall and the ceremony was rounded up with a singing finale by all the guests.
