A Golden Sharing Opportunity with Mrs. Anson Chan
A talk on “Basic Law of Hong Kong and the Development of Democracy in Hong Kong” was delivered by The Honourable Mrs. Anson Chan, JP, former Chief Secretary for Administration HKSAR Government, to students from Forms 4 to 7 in our school hall on 26th January 2010.
Mrs. Chan delivered her talk with focus on the Basic Law, democratic and constitutional development, public governance and participation in Hong Kong.
She shared her valuable experiences in working for Hong Kong and her political participation in the past. She encouraged students to voice out their opinions and participate more in elections as young people will play a significant role in the betterment of Hong Kong in future.
The talk provided additional learning opportunities for students in Liberal Studies. It also provided a golden opportunity for students to share their views on democracy with Mrs. Chan and to ask her questions.
