Prefect Training Day-camp

A Prefect Training Day-camp was organized on 6th March 2010 in Lamma Island with the support from a professional adventure training company. A total of 34 prefects and 3 students selected by Student Council joined the camp.

This training day-camp aimed to stimulate and nurture students’ multiple intelligence so as to enhance their capabilities to exercise leadership skills, cope with adversity, develop social and interpersonal skills, build up team spirit, raise self-confidence levels and heighten self-motivation. All these trained up students and prepared them to take up responsibilities of school prefects and committee members of the Student Council.

It was an adventure based camp. Students were divided into smaller teams. Each team was accompanied by a qualified facilitator. They needed to complete a series of challenging tasks including cave exploration, raft building, rafting and team initiative skills that all involve problem solving skills throughout the day.

The students enjoyed the day-camp very much. They engaged in non-stop challenging tasks for the whole day which kept them busy and gave them opportunities to have all-round training. They had never thought of a day-camp that would have so much fun indeed.
