8th Annual Sports Day 2010-2011
The 8th Annual Sports Day of YHKCC was successfully held on 25 and 26 November 2010 at the Tsing Yi Sports Ground. Clear skies and warm breezes graced the entire event.
The sports day was crammed with various kinds of sports, ranging from sprint to long jump, relay race to shot put. All the athletes from the four houses, Chambers, Morrison, Taylor and Williams contributed points to their Houses in the events in which they participated. The House cheerleading competition was the highlight of the Sports Day. All the cheering team members dressed up and performed flawlessly. Finally, the winner was Morrison House. At the end of the sports day, after all the points summed up, Taylor House won the championship. The CEO of the YMCA, Mr. Ray Purvis was our guest of honor. He gave the students an encouraging speech reminding us of the spiritual as well as physical race that we are running. He presented several trophies to winning athletes.
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the support and contribution of all teachers and student helpers in this event, and to the numerous parents who came to encourage their sons and daughters in their competitions
