Give Blood Save Lives
This year, Blood Donation was held on 25th February 2011 in the school hall with the generous support of students and teachers. A total number of 46 participants including students in senior forms, teachres and office staff joined the event. Each time, a donor can give 350ml or 450ml, depending on his or her weight. The amount of blood donated is just around 8% of the blood in one' body, and the red blood cells, platelet and white blood cells will be seperated and used for different purposes. Students and many teadchers showed their enthusiasm, love and care for the community by giving their precious blood in this event. Indeed they can help a lot of people who need blood transfusion services due to accidents and other health related problems.
Also, regular blood donation is an excellent way to monitor one's health. With each donation, one's tempeature, pulse, iron level and blood pressure will be checked.
We sincerely thank all the blood donors in this event and we look forward to seeing you and more students and teachers next year.
