YHKCC Raised Over HK$36,000 for Japan

On 25 March 2011, YHKCC held a Casual Dress Day to support relief efforts following the 11 March Japanese devasting earthquake and tsunami.  Each participants of the event is asked to donate a minimum of HK$10.  All students, teachers and staff demonstrated their enthusiasm and expressed love to the victims who suffered in the castatrophe.

 

Dr Nick Miller, Principal of YHKCC, expressed his gratitude and thanks, said, "I would like to thank everyone from the entire school community including students, parents, teachers and staff for their sympathy and condolence.  Being a responsible global citizen is one of our core values at YHKCC, we have always taken action and immediate response to help those people in need around the world.  Today YHKCC students are putting into action our value of Responsbile Global Citizenship by making difference for many victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami."

 

With the generous support from all the Casual Dress Day raised a remarkable amount of over HK$36,000 and together with HK$6,000 from another source, they will be donated to World Vision, Hong Kong, for their earthquake relief.
