The World YMCA/YWCA Week of Prayer 2013
This year’s World YMCA/YWCA Week of Prayer was held on 15th November, 2013. The theme for this year was “Be the Change”. YHKCC Beat Club was invited to perform at the beginning to start the event at the Salisbury, Tsim Sha Tsui.
The YMCA and YWCA movements are rooted in Christianity and both organisations are driven by our Christian beliefs in everything that they do. This is the tradition of YMCA/YWCA to celebrate the Week of Prayer together and this tradition was started in 1904. Every year, in the month of November, the YMCA and YWCA movements issue a joint call for prayer as an important reminder of the spiritual vision that drives their efforts to create a better world for all people. This year the fund raised during the event was fully donated to the Philippines Relief Programme.
