Enrichment Week 2013-2014 - F.1 Music Enrichment Programme
It has been the third year we organised the F. 1 Music Enrichment programme and it was definitely a week filled with ‘Musical joy’. On Day 1, students watched a traditional Chinese instrumental concert at Ko Shan Theatre, with narration by the HK Music Office representative. In the afternoon, they learned acoustic or electric guitar with professional tutors.
On Day 2, they learned about keyboard, vocal and percussion techniques from our Music staff. In addition, there was a beatbox workshop by Heartgrey, who won in international beatbox battles and once acted in a local movie .
On Day 3, students explored how to compose and play the harp with the musicians from HK Harp Chamber Music. Afterwards, they had a chance to learn to play various Chinese instruments with professional musicians from HK Chinese Orchestra.
On the last day, they rehearsed hard for the final music battle, which showcased all the skills learned in the week. It was also a day to share and celebrate their success. Both students and teachers enjoyed themselves in the potluck party and sharing session. Some students even look forward to having a Music Enrichment week in F.2!
