Nanhai Middle School Visit from 3rd to 7th October
We are glad to have 27 students and 3 teachers from the Nanhai Middle School (Foshan China) experiencing our school life from 3rd to 7th of October. Last April , the Chinese Department organized the Chinese Language and Culture Immersion Programme for students who are studying Elementary Chinese to participate in different kinds of learning activities in Nanhai Middle School. With the wonderful memories of last year, the teachers from Nanhai school arranged their students to visit and shadow our students this time.
Students from Nanhai were paired up with YHKCC students in this programme. Our Principal, Mr. Dion Chen, and some of our students in the Elementary Chinese classes warmly welcomed them and introduced our international dynamic school campus to them on the first day. The Nanhai students joined the Home Economics and Music workshop together with our students. They were all having great fun and time. It‘s an enjoyable start of their school life in YHKCC.
On 6th and 7th October, Nanhai students were fully engaged in YHKCC school life. They shadowed our students in different lessons, enjoyed lunch and participated in extra-curricular activities after school with our students together. The Nanhai students were completely exposed to the multi-cultural and interactive school life of YHKCC. Close friendship and strong bonding were developed with our students.
A fruitful sharing and farewell party on 7th October marked an end of the school visit. Students exchanged contact, took photos and gave big hugs one by one. Finally, YHKCC waved goodbye to the Nanhai students and both groups of students are looking forward to the next exchange program.
