The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – Engineering See Programme 2014

Last year, a group of six students participated in the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – Engineering See Programme 2014, which was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Education Bureau. Getting recruited for the programme was not easy. Students had to submit a short video to the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers to show their interest and enthusiasm for the program. At last, only four schools got enrolled.

Our students were led by experienced engineers to finish five interactive workshops and visits as well as conduct one final presentation on six Saturdays in 2014 to help them explore the role of engineers in daily life. The topics of the workshops and visits included An Introduction to Engineering and Getting Ready to be an Engineer, Sustainable Development, Infrastructure in Hong Kong, Urban renewal, Urban planning & Development, etc.

All our six students successfully completed the programme and received Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding performance in the programme from the Hong Kong Institutes of Engineers. These students are

  • 6C (8) Joshua Lee
  • 6M (11) Flora Leung
  • 6A (8) Duncan Ng
