Guangzhou Jiangnan Foreign Language School Visit

We are glad to announce that our school has built a ‘sister school’ relationship with the Jiangnan Foreign Language School in Guangzhou China.

On 2nd February, over 120 students and 10 teachers from the Jiangnan Foreign Language School  joined the inauguration ceremony at our school.  Both students and teachers of Jiangnan also experienced the school life at YHKCC. They were grouped with our Form 1 students in activities and learning programmes. Our Principal, Mr. Dion Chen, warmly welcomed them in his opening speech at the inauguration ceremony. Principal Xu from Jiangnan Foreign Language School introduced their school to all our students and teachers Our Deputy Principal, Mr. Andrew Higgins, in reciprocal, presented the features of YHKCC to them. It is great for both of us to build a good understanding and relation with each other. Following the introduction of the two schools, Mr. Dion Chen signed the intention agreement with Principal Xu in dedicating the building of partnership between the two schools.

After ice-breaking games led by Mr. Dion Chen, the students from both schools started to build a  warm relationship with each other. All Form 1 students from YHKCC introduced our international dynamic school campus to the students of Jiangnan  in a school tour. The Jiangnan students then joined the Home Economics, Drum, Drama, Sport, Chemistry, Biology and Art workshops together with our students. They all had great fun and a wonderful  time in the workshops. It was an enjoyable learning experience for the Jiangnan students to taste a bit of the vibrant school life at YHKCC.

After the workshops, the students from both schools enjoyed their lunch and took photos together. The Jiangnan students were fully exposed to the multi-cultural and interactive school life of YHKCC. Close friendship and strong bonding were developed with our students. Finally, YHKCC students waved goodbye to the Jiangnan students and both groups of students are looking forward to the next exchange program.
