Form 5 Personal & Social Education (PSE) lesson Sharing
It was our honour to have invited Mr Ethan Bensinger, the director of the award-winning documentary "REFUGE: Stories of the Selfhelp Home", to conduct a sharing session with our Form 5 students during our PSE lesson on Tuesday, 14th April.
The documentary reaches back more than 70 years to give a voice to the last generation of Holocaust survivors. The film weaves together a narrative by historians, archival footage and deeply personal testimony to trace the lives of six of the survivors, and explores how a small group of them came together to care for their own. The experience of the survivors gave our students a valuable lesson in treasuring their families, resilience and helping one another in times of difficulty.
