Music Performance at UNESCO Peacemakers’ Cultural Celebration
Our School Choir “DEI NOVUM GENUS” and the Chinese Instrumental Ensemble were among others who participated in the “Peace for All Program” of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Hong Kong (UNESCO HK) which was held at the Hong Kong Science Park in the afternoon of 18th April, 2015.
The two music groups collaborated and showcased their talents at the Peacemakers’ Cultural Celebration, the highlight of the event, performing “ROSAS PANDAN, a southern Filipino song and “AKING BITUIN/O SOLE MIO,” a Filipino-Italian medley, fused with Chinese instrumental accompaniment including hulusi (wind pipe), dizi (flute), erhu (fiddle), liuqin (lute) and percussion.
The annual event aims to promote peace and cultural diversity and to offer a platform for different age groups to experience and discover different culture. Well done to all the performers for the successful performance and a big thank you to the parents who came and supported the event.
