Chemistry Talk

Dr Benny Ng, lecturer, Faculty of Science at the University of Hong Kong, was invited to give a talk for F.5 DSE Chemistry students on 5 May at our school.

Dr Ng, who received the University-wide Faculty Knowledge Exchange Award in March, is now teaching Common Core courses such as Forensic Science, Science and Science Fiction in HKU. An interesting topic ‘Vault is that?’ as well as the admission requirement for the B.Sc. programme in HKU were shared in the talk. Vaults are the nanoscaled protein cages in our human body.  Protein cages are unique building blocks in biological research due to their versatility and wide ranging potential applications in drug delivery and biological imaging and sensing.

Students enjoyed it very much and there were lots of interaction between  the students and Dr. Ng.  We all look forward to having more talks in the future.
