School Visit by Irish University

On 22nd May, the Deputy Consul General of Ireland, Ms. Fiona Nic Dhonnacha, together with two representatives from Ireland from the Institute of Technology, Mr. Michael Stewart, and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Mr. Brain Doyle visited our school. Our Principal, Mr. Dion Chen, Deputy Principal, Mr. Andrew Higgins and Deputy Head of SGDS, Ms. Nicola Butler welcomed them warmly.

Mr. Higgins gave a comprehensive introduction of YHKCC and then proceeded to a signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Technology and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology respectively to create an international education pathway for our students. A school tour was organized for the visitors afterwards and the Irish delegates were all impressed by our international style learning environment and the spacious, well-resourced campus.

A talk was also arranged for Form 5 students to give them a better understanding about the education system in Ireland and the recruitment requirements as well as the modules which the institutions offered. It was such a fruitful morning which provided students with information about their further study choices
