A visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong

To stimulate students’ interest in Chemistry and provide more information about the B.Sc. programme run by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Science Department organized a visit to CUHK on 8th June 2015.

There were twenty nine F.4 students taking part in the trip. We first attended the admission talk and a professor in the Department explained the structure of the undergraduate programmes and shared the career prospects of studying Chemistry with us. Then, we visited different laboratories such as the physical chemistry laboratory and the inorganic chemistry laboratory. Moreover, our students even had a chance to operate various modern analytical instruments, such as the gas chromatography and mass spectrometer in the labs. We enjoyed the trip so much that the   students are looking forward to having another visit to CUHK next year.
