3rd Asian International Choir Festival
Our School Choir, “DEI NOVUM GENUS CHOIR of YHKCC”, has recently participated in the 2015 Asian International Choir Festival which was held on 15th July 2015 at the Heung Yee Kuk Concert Hall in Shatin. The biennial event has been held successfully in Hong Kong and attracted international choirs, university choirs and solo artists from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to sing and perform in the Festivals.
Following the success of our very own choir when they won as Champion during the 2013 Asian International Choir Festival, the DEI NOVUM GENUS CHOIR of YHKCC brought honour to our school once again, when they were featured at the Festival during the Interactive Masterclass, conducted by the renowned Italian Choral Director, Dr. Andrea Angelini. He commended our choir and was amazed at their versatility and efficiency when they sung a Renaissance work with Latin text called “Jesu Rex Admirabilis.”
