JA Dialogue with Gen Y Leaders

On 2nd December, our Form 6 students participated in a programme organized by JA Hong Kong (Junior Achievement Hong Kong). We joined a talk titled “JA Dialogue with Gen Y Leaders – 21st Century Career and Life Skills” which was given by Mr. Gene Soo.

Mr. Soo is a local serial (I don’t know this word used in this context) entrepreneur who has worked in the Silicon Valley as a computer engineer. Having co-founded StartupsHK, he has taken up the role as General Manager for Citymapper, which is an award-winning mobile phone App tailor-made for transportation in Hong Kong.

During the talk, Mr. Soo shared his career path on how to become a young entrepreneur in Hong Kong, how to overcome   challenges and the experience of   starting up a business. He also encouraged our students to pursue their goals based on their interest and turned them into their careers..

Our Form 6 students enjoyed tremendously the fruitful dialogue and asked some  questions about the mobile phone  App and Mr. Soo’s career path.

We look forward to the next event in our F.6 careers related series in January.
