JA Programme
Our F.5 Business students have joined the JA company programme since September 2015 and started this memorable and fruitful business journey. They formed a team called Salvo.
Salvo consists of a team of 21 highly passionate, determined and talented students who are willing to step out into the world and make a difference – not only for their company but for the world. Together they came up with an innovative product - The Shieldring, enabling us to solve a common problem that is faced by many people on a daily basis. Besides helping people who have the privilege to hold a smartphone in their hand, they also want to help the less fortunate. Hence they donated over $500 of their profit to “One laptop per child”.
All their hard work did pay off and they received recognition for it! They won over the other 69 schools and achieved the Best Presentation Award. Their Finance team member also received a MVP (Most Valuable Player) Award for his outstanding effort in this project. Throughout this process, not only were they able to enrich their business knowledge but also gained experience and learnt the true meaning of friendship and teamwork.
