Prefect Team Building Day

In order to enhance team collaboration, effective communication and motivation among prefects, the social workers of the Hong Kong Community Network- Link Centre were invited to organize a team building workshop on 8th April, Friday. Students from 2Y and prefects were challenged by several tasks such as trust circle, group task and time out. The following reflection is shared by Team Integrity member Matth Kot.

“It was a wonderful experience to participate in the team building workshop. We got to do different fun activities including egg collecting game. We had to respond quickly to the number that the instructor said as we had been given an individual number.

After a few other games, we were given a task to bring a cup of water in the centre of the area to outside the circle which there is a barrier that we could not go pass.  However, we were only given a few strings and rubber bands to bring the cup out of the boundary. Only 3 people were allowed to hold the strings and they were blind folded.

We took a long time to figure out the way to complete the task. The three boys in the prefect team, including me, were blind folded. Therefore, we had to put our trust and listen to our teammates, as we slowly and carefully bring the cup out. At last, we managed to bring the cup out of the boundary successfully. However, unfortunately, when we were slowly lowering our cup and trying to put it onto the floor safely, the cup slipped and dropped onto the floor.

Although, we didn't manage to finish the whole mission perfectly, we tried our best and worked together as a team to accomplish the task that we thought was extremely hard. This was an unforgettable experience.”
