Higher Education & Careers Conference 2016
A full-day Higher Education & Careers Conference was successfully held on Monday 18th April. The purpose of the conference was to provide all Form 5 students with further information about options for higher education and careers to help them make more informed and concrete decisions for the future.
During the Conference, more than 25 universities, institutions or organizations from different countries were invited, including The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of British Columbia, University of Queensland, Newcastle University, HKU SPACE Community College, British Council, Education USA and Consulate General of Canada etc. Different information about the institutions, programmes, entrance requirements, tuition fees, etc., were provided to students in the seminar. Students also had the chance to talk to representatives directly for more detailed information.
Practical workshops about writing personal statement and preparing JUPAS application were also conducted in the Conference. The workshops enabled students to move forward with their university applications.
Form 5 students made good use of the opportunities presented over the one-day conference to collect as much information as possible about furthering their education and devising a career plan.
