St. Partick's Day

The Beat Club performed at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on 12th March, marching from the Hong Kong Observation Wheel in Central to Tamar Park, ending with a final performance on the stage. This was the third annual gathering which brought together locals, Irish and other ‘friends of Ireland’ to celebrate the national festival and showcase some of the best talents in music and dance in the city.

The Beat Club performed several numbers, including the song "Pride (In the Name of Love)" from an Irish rock band, U2, using Djembes (African drums), vocal percussion (beatboxing), along with acoustic guitar and vocals. They performed well with solid beats and grooves in their drums; especially showcasing their creativity during the solo improvisations part. They had an opportunity to perform on stage to hundreds of audience with different nationalities confidently as they saw the crowd enjoying, singing and dancing along with them. It was a great show. Sincere gratitude should be given to  the organization for their generous hospitality, and the support from parents, teachers and students who came to  the event.
