The PSHE Curriculum

Introduction to the PSHE Curriculum

In the YHKCC, we believe that Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is essential for nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared for the challenges of life. The PSHE curriculum is structured around three key themes: Citizenship, Relationships and Health and Wellbeing. We explore these themes at various levels, with distinct learning outcomes that evolve as students progress through their six years of secondary school.

In addition to fostering knowledge and skills, we aim to instill the school’s five core values within our students: Be Responsible, Respect Ourselves and Others, Act with Integrity, Serve One Another in Love and Build a Community That Cares. By integrating these values into the PSHE curriculum, we prepare students to become active, informed and responsible 21st-century citizens who contribute positively to their communities.

Through a variety of engaging topics, we foster a sense of responsibility, empathy and active citizenship, empowering students to make informed decisions and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
