Graduation Ceremony 2021
The Annual Graduation Ceremony for Form 6 students was held on the 19th June. We were honoured to have Mr. Peter Ho, School Supervisor, SMC members, guests as well as Mr. Dion Chen, Principal as the platform party.
The Principal, Mr. Dion Chen, extended a very warm welcome to all the guests, parents and friends to celebrate the big day of our graduates. He encouraged our student to uphold our core values and face challenges ahead with open arms in his speech. He also showed that he was blessed to see the growth of the graduates as well as the development of the YHKCC in his last tenure.
Mr. Peter Ho, the guest-of-honor, gave us words of wisdom and expressed his gratitude to the dedication and contribution of Mr. Dion Chen to the school in the past 17 years, providing state-of-the-art facilities and a safe, harmonious environment for our teachers, supporting staff and students to thrive and flourish. Last but not least, Mr. Ho wished all graduates a good prospect with the protection and guidance from God.
A surprised farewell video to Mr. Chen was presented right after. The video highlighted the growth of Mr. Chen together with the YHKCC members and students in different events over 17 years. The video also included blessing messages from teachers, supporting staff and janitors. Ms. Diana Lo, Deputy Principal and the Principal-to-be, presented a souvenir to Mr. Chen, expressing our deepest gratitude on behalf of the school. Rounds of applause filled the hall and it was a touching moment.
The ceremony ended with a thankful hymn, Amazing Grace, which the graduates and audience sang together, giving thanks to the Lord, our Saviour. All graduates were happy and grateful to have their parents and friends celebrated the special moment.
