Sharing Session with a Pipa Musician from the HKCO
On 25th November, we were honoured to have Ms. Belle Shiu, a pipa musician from the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, to share her experiences as a professional musician and how she overcame the challenges in her musical journey. The session was attended by music enthusiasts from various forms, Music ECA groups and students studying Music in the IGCSE-focused integrated curriculum. Participants took the opportunity to ask questions which gave them better ideas for planning their future. The virtuoso further inspired us with several pipa performances of contrasting styles. We would like to thank the HKCO for reaching out to the younger community by organizing this educational event.
